Alexander/Blackburn on the lead up to the debate

From the Tennessean...

[Senator] Alexander said some of the negative issues have surfaced, such as Obama’s links to former Weatherman Bill Ayres, may come up during the debate, "but that’s not what most people want to hear about.”

“Ideology is an important part of a presidential race, but the pocketbook, is by far the biggest part.

Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn predicted that Obama would have to explain his “past affiliations and associations,” and that McCain won’t be hobbled by questions about he economy.“I think that Senator McCain has a good record on that."

Hmm... seems like Marsha wants this to be the dirty fight it's becoming. No surprise that Lamar is respected 1000% more than Congressman Blackburn could ever be.
