Yes, Blackburn basically runs errands for Verizon, AT&T and Comcast. Even before becoming a member of the House Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet she was known to appear suddenly in chambers whenever a hearing was going bad for the telcos, to muscle her way to the podium and read from a statement apparently just faxed to her offices by industry lobbyists. The Politico puffery missed that little detail.
